ABOUT THE ROLE

In this exciting role, you will be working with a hardworking and dedicated team of highly-skilled staff responsible for delivering prescribed electrical works on behalf of Ventia clients around distribution and transmission networks. You will normally be working 8 hour days with a minimum of 40 hours per week and your work pattern may include some overtime to meet client requirements.

DUTIES

  • A strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
  • Install, terminate, test and find faults on high voltage networks.
  • Carry out scheduled works on all primary plant, i.e. Cables, Power Transformers, reclosers, ring main units, Power Lines, etc. 
  • Maintain and repair high voltage distribution assets.
  • Install new high voltage assets to client requirements.


ABOUT YOU 

This role will suit distribution lineman, distribution switchers or substation electricians from the distribution environment who are safety conscious and a team player. You will need to be a qualified trades person (Electrician/Lineman) holding EWRB Registration, with either a practicing or a provisional license and high voltage experience is essential.
